EHTER Introduction:Emergency Management
Course Description
Participants will learn about Emergency Management during disasters, including pandemics. This course is part of Environmental Health Training in Emergency Response (EHTER). It provides an introductory level understanding of disaster response and EH roles and responsibilities. Pandemic response and recovery issues will also be addressed. Covered topics include: disaster declarations, Standardized Emergency Management Systems (SEMS), National Incident Command System (NIMS), Incident Command System (ICS), emergency support functions, EH team typing, and mutual aid.
